Blue Marble is owned by five insurance companies collaborating to develop innovative solutions that protect the underserved. We currently operate in Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Kyrgyz Republic, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Our partners include development international organizations, such as WFP, IFAD; as well as multinational companies with strong sustainability programs, such as Nestlé Nespresso. Our work includes the assessment, design and implementation of insurance programs.

About the project in scope

BMM operates in Africa, Latin America and Asia. In Kyrgyz Republic, we are addressing the financial vulnerability of marginalized pastoralists and farmers through the provision of affordable insurance protection against extreme weather conditions. We started our first pilot in the Naryn region and we have since been growing steadily across Kyrgyz republic. These projects involve the development and roll-out of microinsurance products to protect financially underserved individuals against climate risks, as well as the management of all the stakeholders involved.
